Mothlight Productions presents two-time Grammy nominee Michelle Shocked in concert Friday, Jan. 28.

Known for such songs as “Ancourage,” [sic] “Come A Long Way” and “Arkansas Traveller,” [sic] as well as a fierce independence in her music, Shocked’s stylistic adventures have joined her with a long list of bands and musicians.

On the album Arkansas Traveller [sic] alone, she was joined by Alison Krauss, Taj Mahal, Doc Watson, Uncle Tupelo, and Pops Staples. Other performances include ones with Tower of Power (as a headliner for the Newport Folk Festival), the Mekons, and the Dwight Yoakam band augmented with horns.

Opening for Shocked will be raconteur/poet/songster Greg Keeler, performing a solo acoustic set of his own.

Tickets are available at Cactus Records and Video Rodeo in Bozeman, Mountunes in Livingston, Rockin’ Rudy’s in Missoula, Music To Go in Helena, and Ernie November in Billings.

Show time [sic] is 8 p.m. For more information, call Mothlight at 222-2932.
