Michelle Shocked fans will be shocked again – the singer-songwriter has cancelled her Vancouver gig for the second time in a month.
The local promoters learned Monday afternoon that Shocked’s schedule [sic] Friday night date at the Commodore is canceled. This, after she cancelled at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre in September.
The reason – apparently she’s been subpoenaed to appear in court in England, in an ongoing dispute with her management company.
The Commodore is trying to arrange another gig Friday night for their venue. Meanwhile, anyone holding tickets for Shocked’s VECC show (which were to be honored at the Commodore) or this Friday’s show should return to the point of purchase for a refund.
