Out on Wednesday is a new concert series of contemporary music being broadcast by ABC-FM from next week. The first show is a recording of folk singer Michelle Shocked performing last month with The Messengers (Paul Kelly’s regular backing band). It will go to air at 8pm. Future Out on Wednesday shows will feature other acts performing in Australia, including the John McLaughlin Trio and Afro-American choir Sweet Honey in the Rock.
